Are You Free?

 In John 8:36  Jesus said, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

 

The Lord Jesus Christ- the Son of the living God came to set us free from sin and condemnation.  Because of sin we are all condemned to die, but because Jesus Christ died for us, we are given the gift of eternal life.

 

Romans 6:23  “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

 

Along with the gift of eternal life, the Lord God Almighty has given us freedom from condemnation in Christ Jesus.

 

Romans 8:1  “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”

 

It is the will of the Lord God Almighty for us to walk in freedom.  It is His will for us to walk in His Spirit.

Are you filled with the Holy Spirit?

If you haven’t been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for remission of sins- now is the time to do so.

 

Read Hebrews 3:7-15

 

The Lord Jesus Christ said, “ask, and you shall receive.”  He also said, “if you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”  Luke 11:9-13

 

The Holy Spirit will empower you to speak the name of the Lord Jesus Christ more boldly; to depart from sin; and to know the Heavenly Father more intimately.  He will give you strength and comfort you, and will lead you and guide you into all truth.  And, most of all, He will give you freedom.  The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.  Romans 14:17  Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and the word He has spoken!  Be filled with the Holy Spirit and live for Him!  The kingdom of heaven is at hand!  He is coming quickly!  “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.  The night is far spent, the day is at hand.”  Romans 13:11-12

 

If you need to turn to Christ from your sins, or you wish to be baptized in the Lord’s Holy Spirit and fire- then let us say this prayer:

 

“Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, please come into my heart and change my life.  Forgive all of my sins and help me to repent of them.  Live in me, and live through me, Lord, baptizing me in Your Holy Spirit and fire.  Speak to me and lead me and guide me in all truth.  Lord, lead me in Your way everlasting.  In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, thank you Lord, amen.”

 

Now turn from your sins and obey the Lord, and He will grant you times of refreshing.  Acts 3:19
