I’m Holding on to Hope

 I’m holding on to hope

Waiting for the day of promise

I’m holding on to dreams

I’m hanging in there

Till the Father finishes His plan

And pressing on

Till the finish line is seen

I’ve waited anxiously

For the day of revelation

I’ve prayed and prayed

For the time of truth indeed

His strength has kept me going

His goodness has been my light

His grace has held my hand

Even through the darkest time of night

When I thought I couldn’t make it

The Lord preserved my soul

I’m holding on to hope

Hope that I will be whole

I hope to see His glory

I long to see His face

I want to stand before Him

And show Him all my praise

I’ll keep His word until the end

I’ll live until it’s time

I’ll believe His promise everyday

I’ll reach the finish line

I’ll tell the world about His truth

I’ll sing unto His name

Then forever I will know for sure

That Jesus surely saves

So when I’m down

And am not strong

Hope will endure

I’m holding on to His righteousness

And believing in His word

I’ll get where He needs me to be

I’ll find my greatest treasure

I’ll see the glory of the Lord

And enjoy His presence forever
