Appearances

We value appearances. We value what we like to see. We sometimes shun what we don’t want to see. We assign priority to what pleases us. We live by the standards of what we approve. Are you pleased with what God values? Are you able to bear what you don’t approve? If everything was to your liking, would you show mercy to those who don’t meet your standard? Would you work to bring those who didn’t meet your standard to a place where they did? It is a good thing that God is Judge and He alone. We have worshiped appearances and cursed appearances, when God in His mercy has created all according to His will. Whether someone is large or small, pretty or unattractive, or smart or slow- God has created all and loves everything He has created. Jesus didn’t come for just the ones that are highly esteemed by men’s eyes, but for everyone who walks upon the face of this planet. Why do you judge the sick if God has sent Jesus to heal them? We do not only judge our brethren, but we are judging our God. Judge not according to your flesh, but according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit with God’s word; and in love and humility. Be blessed, and know that God loves you as He made you, whether you are approved by men or not. The key to your success is His heart for “you”, He thinks good and not evil of you, He wants to give you a future and a hope. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full into His wonderful face; and the things of the world will grow dim in the light of His glory and grace. Amen.
