The Turnaround/ the Overcomer

It was meant to be a diamond
But it came out a block
It was sent to bring His radiance
But the rock fell apart
Crumbled and broken
No longer of use
The purpose that was given
Could no longer be true
But the Maker, the Creator
Took a look and said
Though you are shattered
Your future is not dead
I’ll take you and make you
Stronger than before
You may not look the same
But you’ll shine even more
Because I love you
Greater than your flaws
I will take you 
And make you 
Brilliant after all
So He declares His love
To many of broken lives
He restores the spirit 
Of dreams that have died
The turn-around comes
When He sees our intention
And by His grace we overcome
As He gives us redemption
