What if all the world would cry?
At the pain of a lost child’s plight
as a mother in mourning
Yearning for comfort
but refusing till she knows they’re alright
What if caring for others was key?
That loving your brothers would be
more than enough
to keep the world moving
and the real meaning of seeing God’s peace
What if faith was every man’s hope?
And all it took was growth
Couldn’t we all see
That mercy sets free
And patience helps us cope
I don’t know why what is, is
I wish I could tell you more
I fight my own battles and learn every day
That it’s not always easy to soar
I press without want
And I hope there is love
I keep believing
That God’s Son is above
That all my life means
Something to Him
That I will not perish
Because of my sin
I want to believe
There is reason to rejoice
That these temporary trials
Won’t kill my voice
What if I die?
What if I stumble?
Will my Savior come
when I’m truly in trouble?
I only believe His goodness prevails
That life without Him
Will always be hell
But I call on His name
No matter how far
And He keeps redeeming
My lost, hurting heart
So, one thing I’ll do
Is honor His truth
Whatever remains
I’ll give Him praise too
And live on with righteousness
Though I am astir
I’m not going down
Without love’s final word
