Sometimes we fail and betray our own honor. God gets that- everything doesn’t always happen the way we want it. And sometimes the pain of regret hurts more than we want to have to deal with. But the lesson learned is worth the whipping we receive, because that only empowers us not to betray our honor again with stronger resolve. No one reaches the top of the mountain without having to overcome obstacles along the way. The victory on the mountaintop is worth the journey of the climb- although we may have lost some things along the way, we have triumphed over the obstacles with greater hope, confidence, and purpose, and we have obtained the rest and view we had hoped to achieve when we set out to begin our journey. You may be resting now from a tough battle and defeat. But, your hope remains and your desire is still there. Look around you at all your options and think about what you need to do. Utilize what you can and try again- if this is more important to you than letting go, then try again until you succeed. The violent take the kingdom of God by force- they go after it until they get it. They are tenacious because we know that God honors those who honor Him. And the most important thing to make the climb is to make sure we do it all with Him and His strength, because without Him we can do nothing. You won’t lose the war if you hope in Christ. You will get the reward God promised. Shake off the dust and look forward, not back. You know nothing compares to Him. It’s time to try again. Be blessed.
