Do not let Your Guard Down

When we come to Christ, it’s important to stay with Him and not turn from Him and neglect our daily duty to tend to our fire and make sure it stays burning. Sometimes we can be honored from God and blessed with rest or reward and it can become easy to want to let off the gas pedal and keep relaxing. But, that is something we cannot afford to do for too long. We cannot allow ourselves to get comfortable with rest and relaxation so much that we stop taking care of priorities. If we allow ourselves to become lazy in doing good, it opens the door for sin and death and demonic oppression. It’s not worth it. We must guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus and stay watchful and vigilant always- there’s never a time to stop honoring God that will be good. God’s blessings and rest is wonderful, but we must continue to run the race until we see His face. Letting go at any time of our responsibility is dangerous and causes us to come at risk. So, keep your guard up and do the first works and always take care of your priorities and promises to God first- never let your guard down with that because, just because God gives us a time to relax and breathe a little, He doesn’t absolve us from our commitment to Him and our duties as a Christian. We must stay in the fire of His glory. Be blessed
