The Importance of Moderation

As a believer in Christ, it’s important to understand using moderation effectively. Being a Christian doesn’t mean you can’t do anything fun but we are cautioned to be careful not to get ensnared or entangled with the things of this world and possibly start causing ourselves to worship idols. God comes first in all things. Obedience to the Holy Spirit is top priority always. And fasting is important as a believer, because there’s times we need to grow in Christ Jesus and nurture our walk with Him. And that is the problem- if we can’t discipline ourselves to cut stuff loose long enough to give God His due then that’s when it becomes idolatry and that is a sin. So, it’s important to not let anything weigh you down where you’re missing out on what God wants. Sometimes you may need to let the games and movies and stuff go if you have to and just use them in fellowship times. Walking with God is way more important than letting worldly things ruin what you can have with God. Be blessed.
